• This is for real, it's empty and yet everything takes forever. I went to the single-seat buggy first thing in the morning and was at the front of the line, but for some reason they prioritized the two-seat buggy people and it took an hour before I got my ride, and Dinosaur Safari said 20-minute wait but I waited an hour. Then an attraction listed at 30 minutes took under 5. It was so haphazard I left at 2 p.m.

• I've seen review videos of this place, and the local staff all seemed to be giving really good service and trying hard. I won't feel anything if the place goes under, but I feel sorry for the staff.

• I went on a school trip. It was awful. If the school takes this experience on board and puts together a better plan for the next Okinawa school trip, I think going was worth something.

• As a local prefecture resident, I'm just grateful you came, and I'm moved that you didn't go all the way negative and saw the good in the staff. Honestly, if the turnover rate improved I think it would get a lot better. But all I can say is thank you for coming out to a place this remote.

• Of all places, Churaumi Aquarium, which is worth a whole day, is right nearby. And if you want to go around to different things, there are plenty of facilities around Naha. By the way, the bus to Junglia runs twice a day from 10 a.m., while the Churaumi one runs 22 times a day from 8:15.

Is Junglia Okinawa worth it?

For most Japanese visitors in this thread, no, not at the cost of a day in Okinawa. The comment that sums up the reviews (1,923 likes) says the rides are fun but you can barely get on any, prices are high and there is no shade, and 212 likes say staring at the sea is more fun. The defenders are two Okinawans who want the park to survive, and one first-timer's log ends with going home at 2 p.m.

How much is a Junglia Okinawa ticket, and do overseas visitors pay more?

Yes, on the official sites the price depends on which page you buy from. The Japanese ticket page lists the 1Day ticket at ¥6,930 for adults and ¥4,950 for children aged 4 to 11, and labels those prices as for residents of Japan. The English ticket page lists ¥8,800 and ¥5,940 for the same ticket. A three-hour Furatto ticket with one ride is ¥2,970 or ¥3,190, and the Premium Pass that skips lines starts at ¥1,870 per attraction on top of admission. Prices as of 14 September 2026.

Why are the queues long when the park is empty?

Because some rides are lottery-only and the hourly capacity is small. Commenters point out that certain attractions cannot be experienced without winning a draw in the park app even on an empty day (295 likes), and the most-liked reaction to that draw is simply 'with this many people?' (2,540 likes). One visitor's log has a posted 20-minute wait turn into an hour. The operator's own one-year report says waits that ran 200 to 300 minutes at opening are down to about 60 minutes, and guests now average 4.5 attractions a day, up from 2.3.

How is Junglia doing after its first year?

Below its own target. The operator reported about 1 million visitors including the spa in the year to 25 July 2026 and revenue above ¥10 billion, and its CEO told reporters the numbers had not reached what the company hoped for. Before opening the company had talked about roughly 1.5 million a year, about half of Churaumi Aquarium's crowd, as the level it needed. The park has since added the Yanbaru Tornado ride on 29 April 2026 and says guest satisfaction rose from 69.2% at opening to 89.2% by May.
