I honestly can't believe you can't take photos in Satsuki and Mei's House anymore either. I went before Ghibli Park existed, and being able to take pictures was exactly what made it feel like stepping into the world — it became a real memory. Maybe with this many people photos slow everything down, but these aren't cheap tickets. It's not an original-drawings exhibition — at least let us take a photo.

The park itself is aimed at children, so it closes at 17:00 — I don't think you can see everything even with Premium... If you genuinely love Ghibli, are going with kids, or want to see every detail, one area per day is still fun. It's also fun to think about why Ghibli Park is inside the Expo 2005 memorial park.

With Premium, if you don't plan in advance the day ends before you've covered it. Things sell out, so it seems better to do the areas with the popular gift shops first 🎶 It feels less like an amusement park and more like an open-air museum.

We just went from Kansai with the kids — Premium on day one, the regular pass on day two. The whole family loves Ghibli, so the places you can only enter with Premium were the big draw and we had a blast. You can open drawers, cupboards, wardrobes, the fridge — all sorts of things — freely, so it really felt like we'd jumped into the Ghibli world; a genuinely happy time. But because we looked at everything carefully, even starting in the morning we never made it to the Grand Warehouse, so on day two we did only Mononoke Village and the Warehouse, which we'd missed. Even then we ran out of time. There's nowhere to stay nearby, so it's quite a trek from far away. We stayed a night in Nagoya beforehand and drove about 30 minutes. The kids were thrilled and for Ghibli fans it's irresistible, but seeing everything takes at least two days, and one day of Premium is essential. The rides cost extra and the food is fairly pricey, so it's not kind to your wallet. Also, in the rain the outdoor parts are really tough — your feet get soaked, since it's a huge park. You can't use the playground equipment either. We were satisfied, but if you go, Premium is a must.
1日目大さんぽ券プレミアム、2日目大さんぽ券でこの間子連れで関西から行ってきました。家族みんなジブリ好きなので、プレミアムで入れる所がとにかく魅力的でめちゃくちゃ楽しめた。家の中の引き出しや棚の中、タンスの中、冷蔵庫の中、色々なところを自由に開けて見られるので、本当にジブリの世界に飛び込めたような幸せな時間を過ごしました。ただ、じっくり見回った結果、朝から行ったにも関わらず、大倉庫まで辿りつかなかったので、2日目は1日目に回れなかったもののけの里と大倉庫のみを堪能。でも、それでも時間足りなかった。 近くに泊まる施設がないので、遠方から来るにはなかなか大変。我が家も名古屋に前乗りで1泊し、30分ほど車を走らせて向かいました。 子供たちも大喜びしてたし、ジブリ好きにはたまらない施設ですが、全部回るには最低でも2日、プレミアムは1日分は必須といった感じ。乗り物は別料金だし、食べ物もなかなかのお値段なので、お財布には優しくないかな。 あと、雨だと外の施設を回るのはかなり大変です。足もとびたびたになります。何せだだっ広い公園なので。遊具も遊べませんし。 満足はしましたが、行くならプレミアムは必須です。
The more Ghibli films you know, the more fun it is — you could spend endless time there! Whether you notice the fine details makes a big difference to how satisfied you are. If there are a lot of films you don't know (only Totoro and Spirited Away, say), you'll probably come away feeling like this reviewer did. I think of it as a new, experiential Ghibli work made to pass the films on to the next generation.

If you go in Disney mode you won't enjoy it. If you love Ghibli, places like the World Emporium will be amazing — I went rummaging through the drawers and the fridge lol. Seriously, it's detailed to the point you could move in today, so for Ghibli fans it's the best! But if you're only mildly curious, I don't think it's worth paying that much money to go.
