We're from out of town and have stayed at the Kintetsu and the Oriental. Our pattern for years now: into the park at opening, back to the hotel around 3pm to rest, then out again for Horror Nights until close. A full day in the park kills your legs, so having an official hotel to retreat to is a lifesaver. Both buffets were delicious. Want to try the other hotels too.

Liber Hotel is my favorite — I've stayed there many times. It's far from USJ, but the onsen and the food are so good I keep coming back.

I used to think Port was the best, but after staying at Liber last year, the quality of the breakfast and that view stole my heart! I also love the elevators at Park Front and Port!!

I've stayed at Liber Hotel Osaka many times, since back when it was still an official hotel. The lobby is huge, the baths are big and feel amazing, parking is easy — I really love the place. But it IS far from the USJ entrance. Far enough that you're tempted to ride the train one stop — though there's a promenade, so I always just take the stroll.

Liber's onsen is tempting, but the catch is that its nearest station is Sakurajima. It's close to Sakurajima Station, sure — but after a full day at USJ, riding one stop or walking is a pain. It does work if you're heading to the aquarium (by boat) or the Expo (shuttle bus) the next day.

We stayed at Liber last year and the whole family became huge fans — we wanted to stay again this November, but I heard it's no longer an official hotel, so we dropped it. Great baths, great food, nothing to fault. I hope it rejoins the official lineup after the Expo. That's my one regret.

Universal Port: Minions greet you in the lobby, the amenities are buffet-style so you take what you need, the food is great, the duvets are fluffy, the shop is well stocked, and the prices are honest. The downsides: it's a bit of a walk to USJ unless you cut through Universal City, there's no spa, and unless you book a suite you don't get the park as your night view.

Stayed at Universal Port for the first time the other day — the room was spotless, the toilet and bath are separate, the buffet was delicious. I left already planning to come back. Park Front is on my list too… every time I walk past, even the building gets me excited. And now I really want to try Port Vita's pizza.

We stayed at Hotel Port Vita. It's a bit of a walk from the park, but I recommend it for families — you take your shoes off at the room door, the bath's washing area is wide, and the toilet was spotless. Really appreciated with small kids. Breakfast was delicious too.

My verdict on Vita: great value. On the cheaper side, clean rooms, bath and toilet separate. (I haven't stayed at Port, but I assume it's the same.) The catch is the distance — the other hotels sit between Universal City Station and the CityWalk into the park, while Vita and Port next door are on the opposite side of the station. It's still five minutes to the park and two or three to the station, but I'm lazy, so I usually shortlist the hotels between the station and the park — Park Front, with its separate bath and toilet, is always near the top.
ヴィータに泊まった感想はコスパいい。比較的お安めで部屋はきれいでバストイレ別。（泊まってないけど、ポートも同じかな） 難点はパークからの距離。他ホテルはユニバーサルシテイ駅からパークへと続くシティウォークまでの間にある。ヴィータとお隣のポートは駅からパークとは反対側。といってもパークまで5分、駅まで2〜3分だけど、めんどくさくて自分は駅からパークまでの間のホテルを検討する事が多いです。 バストイレ別のパークフロントがいつも検討の優先順位上になってるかな。
